Hi there.
We're thinking of coming to Hainan in Late December. Can someone give me an idea of what to expect weather wise? Is it usually about the same temperature as Hong Kong? Is it a very busy time of year? thanks. |

Are you talking about late December, or January?
Winter is usually a rather busy season for Hainan, as Chinese tourists flock there to enjoy some warmth -- Hainan is one of the few places in mainland China which has tropical weather.

Just to add that Hainan is an island so it does not experience the cold streams from the mainland as HKG does.
It should be nice, dry and warm!

I qgree with upstairs.It is rather busy season at that time while the best time for waction.Sanya own the best sea&beach in China and there is no winter in Sanya.It is the most popular travel destination especially in the time of Nov. to next Mar.So the flights&hotels are in shortage during this time.You have to spend more money on your tour but I think it worth the money.

Several days ago, it is a little cool lead to the north frzzing air.
But now it becomes better and better, especially tour at this time.
