Me and my parents are thinking of going to Corfu together but not sure how the weather will be around end august when it comes to sun, and the temperature of the sea for swimming and how lively it will be.

We were thinking of either going around 23rd August for 7 nights (23rd-29th) or around the 28th August for 6 nights (28th aug-2nd sept).
do you think the sea will be colder if we went on the 28th or it won't make a slight difference in a week and a half?

Also will corfu will still be lively with young greek people and foreign as well as families after the 27th august? As it;s the furthest of the greek islands, we are not sure whether to go 23rd or 28th in case the sea gets colder and it gets much quieter?

My parents went to corfu on in October a couple of years ago, they said it was still warm then. I have been there in late September for a week too, we had rain for the first couple of days, but we just hired a car for them days and it was red hot after that. I think it'll definately still be hot in August, even late August.

As for the nightlife, Kavos will definately still be lively and buzzing about with young people. Not so sure about the other resorts, I've been to Sidari also which was quite lively, but that was in June, don't know about September.

August, September, even October the sea temperature is almost the same. The weather, by rule, is ok, no problem.

I've just got back fro Corfu today. It was 30 degrees and the sea was lovely and warm. I guess it will be no different between the 23rd and 29th.

It is peak holiday season so there are a lot of British Germans and Italians there. This week is also a Greek national holiday so there will be lots of Greeks there too.
