| Panglao Island | Pls help Posted: Mon August 13, 2007 10:22 AM UTC
I am working abroad and planning to go to Bohol with my family on Jan-11-14 next year when I take my vacation leave. Can anyone give me suggestions on where to stay? I've checked Bohol Beach Club and the place is great but is quite expensive so I want to know if my money would be really worth in staying there. Otherwise, can anyone suggest other places to stay? Thanks =)

When we went to Bohol this January, we arranged with Tata Rabe to guide 7 of us at Tagbilaran. You can email her at tatarabe@yahoo.com as well as contact her at Cell No. + 63 917 306 0608 (Globe) or + 63 921 499 8409 (Smart). Thru her we stayed at Bohol Divers Resort in Panglao plus she toured us around the usual sights in Bohol. I am sure she can also arrange your accommodations depending on your budget and preference. Would have been great had we chosen to go to Balicasag instead of ferry to Cebu for Day 2. Anyways, our time in Bohol/Cebu was wonderful just the same. More laid back atmosphere in Bohol than Boracay, I think. When you email her, please mention Art Legardo (party of 7) referred you as I would think she will afford the same hospitality as she did with us.
Cheers, Cajuntoast

You can also check out Alona Tropical Resort in Alona Beach. Our entire group (27) will be staying there this December. Their place is quite nice with a pool and good beach front. Their fan rooms are at P1,800 per night and since you're going in January, it should be cool enough. You can email them at alona_tropical@yahoo.com or call their reservations at 038-5029031
You can also check out these very helpful sites: http://www.bohol.ph/article75.html http://www.panglaoisland.net/wheretostay.htm If you want, I can give you more info after our trip :)

bohol Beach club is a really great place to stay and is worth it. But, you're right, it's a bit expensive. there are other hotels but of course they can't be compared because what you get is worth what you pay for. I've heard Tata is a really good guide who might be able to help you better.

BBC is really luxurious! If you can afford it, I would recommend you to do so. You can also stay in Dumaluan 2 Beach Resort. It's not quite comparable to BBC but it would be a lot cheaper.

If you don't mind, how much is the rate at BBC now?

If memory serves me right, the cheapest room would be around 70USD good for 2.
