warsaw to majdanek

we shall be in Warsaw for a few days at end of August and would like to visit the camp at Majdanek. Can anybody tell me how to get there and roughly how long it will take, also cost if possible.Also are there organised tours from Warsaw to Majdanek. Thanku

You need to go to Lublin. The trip takes about 3 hours. Majdanek is a part of Lublin.

The State Museum at Majdanek was founded in November 1944 on the grounds of the former German concentration camp according to the page http://majdanek.pl/articles.php?acid=2&mref=2

On the above-mentioned page is there a map of Lublin as marks The State Museum at Majdanek.

There is 2.19 miles from Lublin Glowny (the main railway station) to Panstwowe Muzeum Na Majdanku (State Museum at Majdanek) according to http://www.uk.map24.com/
