Where to go for best steak in Fresno? Thanks.

Personally I like Tahoe Joes - there are two restaurants. One is at the NE corner of Cedar and Herndon and the other is at the NE corner of Shaw and West. If you are at the Shaw and West and it is too crowded, the Outback Steakhouse is across the street. These are reasonably priced.

If you are looking for an exquisite meal where steaks may be on the menu and the service is out of this world, go to the Ripe Tomato in Fig Garden Village at the NE corner of Palm and Shaw.

It's 45 miles from Fresno, but the best place for steak in the area is Harris Ranch.

How does Yosemite Ranch compare to Tahoe Joes?

We ate at Yosemite Ranch once and were not impressed at all - it just wasn't very flavorful and we both felt that and have not gone back. I know it is a very similar operation but it is different.
