How long does it take to chamonix from paris? And what are the things to see there? Is a whole day enough to enjoy the beauty of the place??

I looked at doing this when I was in LYon a few years ago. I seem to recall the quickest, non plane route was by rail. Take a look at the SNFC website, Paris to Lyon by high speed train and then Lyon to Chamonix.

You can take the TGV in about 7 hours. You can drive in about 7 hours. The price in tolls and fuel will be about as expensive (if not more) than a train ticket. A whole day is not enough time to enjoy the beauty of Chamonix, or of any place if you ask me ...
