| Auckland | Accommodation in Auckland after long journey.... Posted: Thu August 9, 2007 11:45 AM UTC
Hi
Can anyone recommend a budget place to stay in the centre of Auckland which isnt really noisy, it will probably only be for a night or two to catch up on some sleep and get stuff together to move on again. Don't mind being in the backpacker area. cheers D |

Kiwi's are asleep now, or they should be hahaha. I'm leaving any minute. But meantime, check the accommodation tips on Auckland Travel Pages, and you may find someone has already written about what you want. Anyway, while you wait for a direct reply, check out those tips . good luck!!

There's a hostel in Mt. Eden (which is a short bus ride from city center) called the Bamber House. The ladies who run it are really great, there's a pool, and if you're on an Extremely tight budget you can work 2-3 hours doing housework to pay for your room. The Mt. Eden volcanic cone is a 10 minute walk away and has the best 360' view of Auckland.
