I'm planning my honeymoon (!!!) in Menorca, perhaps Citudella or Cala 'n Porter. My question is: is it likely to be warm enough (air and water temp) to swim at the beach in late April/early May? I want a fab beach vacation, but can't get clear info about the weather for swimming/bathing.

You're wrong Ex-Mainer. The correct Spelling is Menorca. If you want write it down in a correct form.

I prefer Ciutadella to spend my time. It's more "cultural".

April and May is quiet warm during the day. Maybe for swimming is a little bit soon. But that depends on you, you will find empty beaches in general. Maybe you will find some cold nigth.

Statistically spoken April is a rainy season. A few days before check the weather on Internet (for example the suggested Ex-Mainer web page).

I cannot swim before June. But everybody is different.

June is a good month if you want warm weather and if you want to find clean and quasi-empty beaches.
