Myrtle Beach November visit
Posted: Wed August 8, 2007 05:08 PM UTC
I am planning a one week family vacation to Myrtle Beach in November With another family. We have 7 kids all together, ages 2-15. Is there a lot of businesses that stay open through November, basically for entertainment? I would hate to have the whole "boardwalk" closed down during our visit.
Thanks for any info.,
Michelle

I've never been to Myrtle Beach in the off-season, so I'm not an authority, but I just noticed that the TIGERS Preservation Station (at Barefoot Landing) is closed after October - http://www.tigerfriends.com/

Whether this is an indication of other businesses' seasonality, I don't know.

A lot of your entertainment will be inside, Ripleys aquarium, shopping & entertainment at Broadway at the Beach, Dixie Stampede, etc... the beach won't be all that inviting at that time. I went during spring break a few years ago and it was highs of about 70. My mother lives there, and they do get a little snow during february and january....a trace here and there once or twice. It's not hot all year round.

There will be things to do, but not everything. I'm sure you've already picked up a tourist guide book from them, you can look at it and pretty much guess what will and won't be open then. At least the roads won't be so crowded like they are in summer. :)
