i'll be going to surfers end aug which will be end winter. can someone tell me what's the temp like day and night. last time i been there in spring, was pretty cold during the day cos of the strong winds.

i'm hoping that i don't have to bring a thick jacket for my 5yr old son :-P

I have been there twice at that time, and I have found it around the 26C with a bit of humidity....never cold enough for a thick jacket!!

Hi Kamilah,

Surfers is beautiful at this time of year. I live in Brisbane (about an hour away) and often go to the Gold Coast. The weather is normally between 12C degrees & 22-26C. I would definitely take a jacket as it gets quite windy from the sea breeze. You shouldn't need a really thick jacket but your son will definitely need something if you are going out at night or if it is windy.

Hi Kamilah :)

If you are visiting the Gold Coast in August I would suggest bring a few warm items. Lately the temperature here has been quite funny (ie. last week we had a day it hit 30 degrees and the next it was about 22 - the nights vary also).

Normally by August the days are quite warm but the nights are still a bit cool. So I would suggest pack for spring but just slip a few warm bits in just in case.

Enjoy your trip!
