Vatican City Greek Icon [PICTURES} from Vatican gift shop
Posted: Mon August 6, 2007 07:44 AM UTC
Hi

I wish to purchase a picture of a greek icon (christ} from the vatican gift shop.

Please where is the gift shop & if any one has bought any greek icons what are the costs? My friend told me about these pictures.

Also do you have to pay to get into the city itself or do you have to pay to go to a museum?

Thanks in advance

From what I can remember the gift shop is outside, as you're making your way back out. I can't remember seeing what you're after but they had rosary beads, all kinds of ornamental gifts, maps and all sorts of things. I'm sure you will find what you're looking for in there, otherwise you will probably find them in the gift shops on the roads around Vatican City.

You don't have to pay to get into the City in itself, but you do have to pay to get into the Museum and inside the actual Vatican.

Enjoy your trip!

We had to pay to go into St Peter's to climb to the bottom of the Cupola.

Then we made our way back down and went into through the main entrance into the Basilica.

It was 5 Euros to climb to the bottom of the Cupola and then 7 Euro's to use the lift.
