Province of Camiguin Travel Forum

I plan to visit Camiguin (side trip from my CDO trip) next weekend 11-12 August... unfortunately i am alone so is it advisable to travel alone?

Hi ! If you mean Camiguin in the Filippines, It's beautiful, safe and people are very friendly. I was there in february 2007, a woman also travelling alone and i had a very good time.!!

You'll be fine, absolutely. I know the island pretty well - so small yet infinitely beautiful. Rent a motorbike and you can easily navigate the entire island in one hour. If you're looking to visit the island's great sites, don't miss: white island (an island within an island with pure white sand), katimbasang falls, the sunken cemetery, the island's hot and cold springs, the market at Mambajao and climbing a volcano. If you're going to do the latter, consider highly hooking up with a knowledgeable guide - to avoid getting lost and barring physical accident in the climb itself. You'll have fantastic fun. camiguin is a safe island, locals are very friendly. if u want a guide i suggest u contact dindo 09197447938. he was our guide last july 07.
