| Punta Cana | Best all Inclusive resort? Posted: Sat August 4, 2007 04:45 PM UTC
My hubby and I are going in March of 08 to Punta Cana and are looking for the best all inclusive resort. I have looked into, Excellence, Sunscape, Paradisus Punta Cana, and Bahia Principe. We are looking for something that has lots to do. I have seen Excellence is great, but seems a bit far. ALso, at the end of March, are bugs an issue? ANy suggestions on all inclusives to stay that are top of the line or close to with lots to do or nearby stuff to do? THanks.

In reviewing your post it looks like you like a large complex. Via tripadvisor I viewed lots of candid photo shots of every resort in PC. Excellence is romantic. Sunscape looks like it would be more family oriented. Bahia Principe is huge but also a good choice. It also looks like $ is not a factor since you looked at most of the expensive hotels. I've only stayed at the Iberostar and Caribe Club. I would stay far away from the Princess hotel chain. Although the rooms are nice the food is horrible. At Iberostar I found the food to be great and on the Bavaro side excellent. There is lots of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. IF you don't see anything in the buffet a few bucks to the cook and it can be made if available. The shows were enjoyable as well. End of March is perfect weather. It is dry all day and humid at night perhaps a rain shower in the evening for about an hour. The weather was strange. At night around 6 ish there was a cool breeze and then around 8:30 ish the humidity sets in it rains then lifts. Mosquitos were not an issue unless you ate at an ala carte restaurant outdoors you will need off spray for your legs. Good luck in picking a resort. If you need to know a good travel website email me.

Hi my wife and I stayed at the Bahai Principe Diamond club in Punta Cana in April of this year and just loved it. The food was excellent especially the theme restaurants. The resort is large but their is a tram running most of the day through the resort. The beach and pools are excellent. Their are lots of organized trips available through the resort (extra money) catamaran rides dolphin swims snorkelling etc. If you have any more questions just post them here. I will be putting some pictures of the resort on my page soon. have fun.
