Mut is not a well known and tourisric part of Turkey. But is a home of many historical and cultrural heritages. Ancient name of Mut is Claudiopolis which was founded by Emperor Claudius in 41 BC. The River Goksu crosses Mut. The Crusader German king Barbarossa drowned at Goksu while fighting againts Turks. The Fortress is also very interesting.

In Narlikuyu near Silifke you may find very interesting remains of ancient culture. Narlikuyu is on the 20th km of Silifke-Mersin highway. It is famous for fish reataurants and a small bay with a nice beach.
please visit my Silifke page.

Mut is on the foot of the Toros Daglari the Taurus Mountains. Mut is not at sea side. The People are Turcoman Turks. They are very friendly. Mut is cheep.Mut is an agrar country.
