Hi to the travellers:)
I'd very much appreciate precise info on how/where to book a mentioned flight. Is going to the airport neccessary or it can be done in local turist agencies? Any ideas if I could take of in the mornings grom Hurghada and return in the evening (flight schedule)? Also, some tips on budget yet not a lousy accomodation @ Luxor possible???

The Nefertiti Hotel in Luxor seems to be a good choice with EATBI recommendation.

This flight will involve changing planes at cairo & will probably involve two or more hours wait between planes. Check out www.egyptair.com

woooah. sounds complictated. maybe, instead, i'll try to see with someother people if they'd like to go with a cab.. and then..uh....i will have to be compromising all the time. waaaaaaaaa

Private cab could be a good choice, specialy if you can get more people to join and split the cost. Just be prepared to drive a hard bargain!!! Ask a few cab drivers and/or cab driving companies for their prices on what you want. If one looks nice to you you can say that other one is cheaper. Good chance he will lower his price.

Could well be quicker & of course you have more control over timing. You'll have to bargain, & bargain hard to escape luxor.

Bargain a two way trip. To and from, maybe even transportation in Luxor included.

Last March we took a private cab to take us from Alexandria to Nuweiba and 5 days later from Nuweiba back to Cairo. We bargained one price: 1100 LE.

This was a friends price: the cab driver was a friend of a friend of a friend and our friend in Alex really did his best to get the best price for us.

From Hurghada to Luxor must be much less expensive.

so, any any idea on how much one day renting a cab should be?
you gave me anidea, to ask a friend over there.... as he ain't a cab driver but owns a parfumery (and another guy I met a jewelery shop) he might suggest me a realistic one ;)
