Need help please. Can somebody help me on how to get flights from Manila (Philippines) to Yiwu? I am having a hard time looking up on chinese airline websites coz I can't understand the characters. My colleagues plan to go there on August 8.

fly to shanghai . then take train to Yiwu.

There's a site called dohop.com, where you can enter two airports, and get a listing of the flights.
note 1: I randomly selected a date of 06/08/07. A different date might have different flights/schedules. note 2: It looks like China Southern Airlines might (??) be the best bet to Yiwu, but their connections from Manila on 06/08/07 are terrible. note 3: China Souhern's website looks like it's in English. maybe here's dohop for Manila to Yiwu on 06/08/07. http://www.dohop.com/#d1=060807&a1=MNL&a2= salamat

I would suggest that you fly to Shanghai instead, then take airport shuttle no.7 to Shanghai South long-distance bus station then a bus to Yiwu (5 hours). This's the most direct route.

I can only assume you don't mean the YiWu in XinJiang.

sorry , i dont know there is another Yiwu in Xinjiang. What i said just now was about YiWu near Shanghai.

The quickest way from Shanghai to Yiwu is that Take the train D685 at the Shanghai South Railway Station, departure from 7:25 and get to Yiwu at 09:40,it takes only about 2hr.

However, I think it's pretty hard for a traveller coming from Manila on any flight to be able to catch a train at 0725! Assuming that you don't want to come a day beforehand and stay a night in Shanghai.

How about I take a flight going to Xiamen Gaoqi? And I arrive there around 4:30PM? Will there be trains or buses I can catch going to Yiwu? Or have I just made my life hell? :-)

In that case, get on the airport shuttle to town and take a train to Yiwu that night. However I bet you won't be able to get sleeper tickets at such short notice.
K198/K199 (2214--1800) 19h46min Still much easier to go via Shanghai or Hangzhou.
