Vatican City Papal General Audience question...
Posted: Thu August 2, 2007 03:47 PM UTC
Hello, my family is traveling to Rome in October and would like to attend the general papal audience on Wednesday. I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm that this is still taking place every Wednesday.
Thanks for the help

http://www.vatican.va/faq/index_en.htm

States: GENERAL AUDIENCES OF THE HOLY FATHER AND PONTIFICAL CEREMONIES:
Enquiries: Prefect of the Pontifical Household Ph. +39.06.69884857 fax +39.06.69885863

Also, http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/audiences/2007/index_en.htm

According to this site, it looks like audiences occur on MOST Wednesdays. You may want to talk to the priest at your local church to get help with a Papal Audience.

Yes, Benedict is continuing the custom of the audiences on Wednesday mornings. Of course, if he is traveling, then there won't be an audience, so you'll want to keep up with his schedule.

One good website to follow is http://www.santasusanna.org/popeVatican/popeVatican.html which is the website for the American parish in Rome...
