Hi,
4 of us traveling to Bangkok beginning of next month. We would like to go to tiger temple where we can see tigers in very close range at kanchanaburi, hellifire pass, war museum and maybe river kwai and floating market. Do you know and travel agency would be able to arrange it for 1 day tour(Bangkok-Kanchanaburi-Bangkok)with very cheap price and good tour. Please let us know. Thanks

There are lots and lots of travel agencies in Bangkok. The travel agencies act as the sign up point for these popular tourist attractions. Just by walking around the area your hotel is in you will come across several travel agencies. Most of the prices are the same between the travel agencies, hotels also may offer tours at a slightly higher price. Expensive hotels seem to charge even more for tours.

River Kwai, Hellfire Pass, War Museum and train ride may be part of a single tour. There are tours for the Floating Market, tigers and other places also available. Often you can sign up the night before for the following morning or in the morning for the afternoon. Tourism is regulated in Thailand it's rare you don't get what you pay for. Meals may or may not be part of the tour, ask about them.

The tours you want are pretty common and easy to get. You are free to stop in at any travel agency and check their menu list of available tours and the prices. You are also free to compare those prices against other travel agencies.

Unless you make other plans the tour companies pick you up at your hotel and return you back there when the tour is over. Whenever you travel away from your hotel make sure you have some handi-wipes and some toilet paper in your carry bag. TP may not be available in many rest areas.

It would not make any sense to travel clear across town from your hotel to a particular travel agency to get the same tour you can get from an agency near your hotel. Hope you chose a hotel near the Skytrain so you can get around town easy and cheap.

Good luck.

Hal

Hi Did that trip 18 months ago, a fantastic day, elephant treking, river rafting. To book tour when in Bangkok go to money changer outside hotel, they nearly all take tour bookings, they will have photos of what you get on each tour, select what you want, if you want tigers make certain included on that particular tour. You are welcome to view my Kanchanaburi pages and see what we did on the day.
Good Luck
Mike

I did exactly this that you want to do but I hired a driver.
I think its cheaper and you can do it in your time, but you have to wake up very early to do all that things you wants.
You can see more at my Kanchanburi page and you can contact the driver/guide (she is a licensed guide) at:pornpitcha@yahoo.com
We hired her to visit Floating Market, Tiger Temple and Kanchanaburi. Her car is really new and she has always fresh water or soda waiting for you inside the car.
Tell her Fernando and Luiza from Brazil gave her e-mail to you.
Take a look at my Kanchanaburi page. you will see many photos, and if possible dont forget to rate the tips, thanks

There are some very good information already posted here. But i think it might be too difficult to do all these places in one day. Kanchanaburi is a fantastic place, way better than Bangkok in my opinion so try not to skip anything there including the National parks. Take note that the distances between some of the places you mentioned could run from 45min to 1hr drive from each other. Have fun. Cheers~
