Hello, I am travelling to Italy in Aug flying to Ancona for a few days and wondered if it is possible to take a ferry to Venice or a train and how far is it and how much does it cost. If anyone knows please get in touch.

hi kate, no ferry but train. if you don't want change to bologna station take an IC train at 6.10 p.m. and arrive 10.37 p.m with cost of 30 euro.
The ES train want 41 euro and compulsory reservation and have to change to Bologna

No answers, just more questions. Did you do the train trip ? I can't find a train out of Ancona and wondered if there was a different station I should be trying.
