| San Antonio | sea world trip? Posted: Wed August 1, 2007 12:07 PM UTC
I am planning a trip down to Sea World at San antanio next week for 3-4 days with three other friends. I am new in Texas, and not aquainted with the driving directions, i will be driving down from wichita falls to san antanio. I would like to see most of the park and enjoy all the shows and rides. Can anyone suggest me, how do i plan my trip, when to begin from wichita falls (i may take 7-8 hrs to drive down with a few stops), where do i lodge in (some cheaper accomodation), any other places to see, do's and don'ts at the park, how do i manage my time, etc.
Thank You Sajjad |

Hey Sajjad,
Welcome to Texas...Sea World is on the far West side of San Antonio, and there are a few lodging options there. The Hyatt (expensive) and the Radisson (reasonable) are the closest to Sea World. There are a few other limited service hotels (Best Western and La Quinta) that are cheaper and close to the park, too. Coming from Wichita Falls, you will see directions to Sea World on Loop 1604 West. That will take you around the downtown area, missing a lot of traffic, and straight over to SW. Sea World is probably good for one full day of fun. You have to see the Shamu "Killer Whale" Show, and if you like rollercoasters, there are a few great ones. There is also a small waterpark to cool off, get to the park early and plan on staying all day. You should check out their website for hours and ticket info. After that, there is a lot to see in downtown San Antonio (Riverwalk, Alamo, Market Square). Enjoy!
