From LP's Shoestring guide:
"From Iraklio, local bus 2 goes to Knossos (.95 euro)every 10 minutes from bus station A." Obviously, this assumes you can get to bus station A from the airport....hope it is of some help. I am heading to the island ~aug 22, plan to explore Knossos myself. When will you be there? Possibly send you further advice if you are planning on being there after that. Have a great time!
