Is it possible to make 1 day tour Damascus - Palmira - Damascus I heard that about 200 kilomiters between these cities.... many thanks for your help regards |

Perfectly possible: we made the trip three months ago. We hired a local taxi in Damascus (after much haggling): I don't remember exactly what we ended up paying, but it wasn't expensive. English isn't much (or at all) spoken, and we had to resort to our (very rusty) Arabic. A wonderful experience: do it.

PS - the front desk of your hotel will also organise this for you, with much less hassle, but at more than double the cost.
