i had some great (north) korean bbq in shenyang...so that's a definite must see! or more like must eat...

The only sight worth seeing in Shenyang is the Manchu Imperial Palace, which is like a miniature Forbidden City if you've already been to Beijing.
If you have an extra day then you can make an excursion to the nearby Benxi Water Caves located just east of the city. If you have 2 extra days or more then I highly recommend a trip to Dandong, (4 hours by train), where there are are more interesting things to do. I would recommend the Imperial Palace and the September 18th Memorial.
