hi!

i'm spending a few days in santander and then making my way down to puerto viesge. we don't have a car or plan on renting one. what's the best way to get to the village of puerto viesge using public tranport?

"puerto viesge" doesn´t sound familiar . Would it be Puente Viesgo ?

The buses to Puente Viesgo are leaving from the bus station in the center of Santander
If you come by plane you may take the bus in the airport that finishes in the bus station and if you come by train both stations are in the same square
They start at 8h 30m and latter they leave each two hours aprox. , you may check the exact time-table in : www.continental-auto.es/ , this web is also in English
In Puente Viesgo you have a very interesting cave with prehistoric paintings , a very nice spaa and if you like sweet cakes you must try the "sobados and quesadas"
