Base in Sogn og Fjordane

We are planning to stay 6 days somewhere in inner Sogn to explore the countryside of Sogn fjord. I could not make a decision which is the better base-place, Balestrand-Sogndal area or Aurland-Flam.
Could anybody help me please?

try a repost . use post title of (help needed which base in balestrand or aurland )
also one post ( help needed which base in sogndal or near flam )

If you are planning to stay almost a week, I would recommend that you stay in Balestrand/Sogndal area; in that way, most of the beautiful Sognefjord is available, and you are able to reach alot of different places and great experiences. Do not miss the ferry trip to Fjaerland!

Hi,

thank you for your advise! We came back yesterday from Norway, it was a very nice holiday. Your country is so beautiful, people are very friendly. We lived close to Sogndal in a small farm it was a good base for our excursions. Thanks again, all the best
