| Sunny Beach | ATM in Sunny Beach Posted: Mon July 23, 2007 04:49 AM UTC
Hello,
Can we draw money with a non bulgarian bank ATM card bearing "Cirrus" and "Maestro". This is just a ATM bank card not a credit card. I have used it to draw money from ATMA in other parts of the world but want to be sure I can use it in Bulgaria. Thank you |

Hi there,
Yes, You can use your card at the ATM no problem. When you put your card in it will ask you to choose your lanquage, English, German ect. At first I was worried that it was all going to be in Bulgarian but it was fine. I used First Investment Bank which is in the centre and also the Co-operative bank. Sometimes it's a good idea to let your bank know that you are going to use your card abroad. Once my debit card was stopped as a precaution in case of fraud so I had to ring up the bank in England to sort it all out and make sure that it was me using the card. That phone call cost me £27 because I used my mobile and it took ages to sort it out. So best be prepared. Anyway Happy Holiday.
