Re: euros in Cefalonia Posted: Sat July 21, 2007 08:57 PM UTC
Your profile doesn't say where you are from (to know what sort of bank card you are likely to have), and your question doesn't say exactly where in Kefalonia you are going! There are cash points in all main towns, including plenty in Argostoli. From these, if you have a bank card bearing the Cirrus/Maestro symbol and a 4-digit PIN, you can easily extract euros.
If you have a Visa card - or even if you haven't as machines bearing the Visa symbol will usually also take other cards - see http://visa.via.infonow.net/locator/eur/ResultsDisplayAction.do?uid=X1076369-1180025613-ac120e64
Your own bank should also be able to give advise about use of whatever card you have in Greece.
As for purchasing eros, I wish it were possible!
