| Quebec | Taxi from Airport to Auberge Saint-Antoine Posted: Thu July 19, 2007 07:25 PM UTC
Hello! We will be landing at Quebec (YQB) airport on Wednesday, August 1 at 23:32 (11:33pm).
1. Is it possible to find a taxi at that time? 2. How much should the taxi cost? 3. Can anyone suggest a decent place to eat around Auberge Saint-Antoine that will still be open past midnight? Thank you in advance. i |

Hi! There should be taxis waiting at the airport, but if not you can either ask the airport staff to call one up for you or there should be a direct phone line near the exit. The flat rate to get downtown is $30. I'm pretty sure most restaurants will be closed in the Petit Champlain area, but if you go up to the Chateau Frontenac, you might be able to find a few pubs with their kitchen still open (you can try Pub d'Orsay: http://www.restaurantpubdorsay.com/index.html or Saint-Alexandre: http://www.pubstalexandre.com/en.html). Hope this helps, have a great trip!

The taxi is indeed 30$ flat rate and they will be waiting outside as you exit the airport. Don't let them take you for a ride. They've been known to try to pull a fast one on tourists here and there (e.g. claim fares are more expensive after 11 pm)
For food here's a suggestion. Less than a 5-minute walk from your hotel, there is a pub called Linox which brews its own beer and serves food all night (http://www.inox.qc.ca/eng/eng_accueil.html). Nothing fancy but it should do the trick and the beer is great. Take a left as you exit the hotel, take immediately a right on the first street you cross and walk all the way to the end of that street and the Linox is right there to your right. Have fun.
