i will be going to redang this september but still deciding which resort to take up. i have only a budget of RM600++ or RM700++. i am very interested in laguna but then again, to suit my budget, i would need to take the bus from kl to kuala terengganu which will take me 7 hours. however, i just discover that a travel agency offers 600++ including air fare(air asia) and 3d2n package stay at redang beach resort. and so it all comes down to comparing laguna and redang beach resort. can anyone tell how big is the difference from the two resorts as i know the beach would not make a big diference anyway for they are at the same stretch of beach...
please advice. thank you. |

I found it a very useful resource when I was planning for my Redang trip some time back. As far as I can remember the Laguna is a very huge hotel with all the facilities, but I can't remember the Redang Beach Resort at all.

I've been to Laguna Redang last Mar 07 with my frens and the trip was unforgetable. I went there by airasia because it only took 45 minutes to reach Kuala Terengganu. Never been to Redang Beach but if you ask me, i will surely choose Laguna Redang.

I plan going there mid-September (around 9/19-9/21). However, I heard the weather there is horrible- raining and therefore is dangerous to travel back and forth from Merang/ KT to Pulau Redang. Also, there will be no snorkeling activities.
Since you will be going or you went already, you might be able to help me with some insight information. I am very desperate of going but also i don't want to risk my life. LOL I will be departing from Ipoh, do you know any bus going there? Thanks
