Very easy, but make sure you are clear on the price before you leave the port. We found a limo driver who was willing to take us and thought the price was very reasonable. When we got to the airport he wanted the amount per person, we didn't pay him.

How much would you estimate it to cost and do they charge you per bag like they do on some of the islands?

we're going in Sept and can pay the boat a transfer charge..but i figure that the taxi to and from would be cheaper and less of a hassell.

thanks so much!

Less hassle is to use the ships transfer. They will take your bags from you either as they come off the belt or sometimes even take them from behind the secure area if you have them tagged for the ship. You will never see them again until they show up in your cabin.

While the cargo ships dock on the south side of the bay, cruise ships arrive on one of the eight piers located on the northern and eastern side of the bay, allowing for tourists to walk to major attractions such as Old San Juan and the Puerto Rico Convention Center District. The short distance between the busy Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and the cruise ship docks (7 miles) makes the docks a prime location for cruise companies.
