| Macao | suggestions for macao day tour Posted: Wed July 18, 2007 01:37 AM UTC
hi guys! my family will be in HK this august and we were thinking of visiting macao on aug 4 with my family. i was wondering if anyone can suggest an itinerary for a day tour. i know the churches and the casinos are must-sees. i do hope travel in between tourist places wouldn't be a problem.
i read in this forum that there is no turbojet on a weekend??? |

I did spend a day and night there in May and I enjoyed the downtown area near the old church shopping and lunch at the top of the Macau Tower.
I did dinner and the water show at the Wynn the night before and it was nice. TTS

If you only have a day and want to cover the major tourist spots, you may want to consider getting a day tour package. Personally, I prefer to arrange my itinerary on my own, but on our trip to Macau last year, we opted for a package since we only have a day to spend and we have an elderly aunt with us.
I remember paying US$85/pax which covers coaster (from meeting point to port), RT ferry, coaster during the Macau tour, set lunch in a hotel (with glass of red wine), assistance at the immigration, English-speaking tour guide. Places visited include: Macau Tower, A'ma temple, border with China, jade shop, surplus shop, park/image of Mother Mary, casino, St. Paul's ruins, walking tour of the "Old Center", etc. Surprisingly, we enjoyed it coz we were given ample time to move around, shop, eat, and take pictures; really no hurry.

There are turbo jets almost every hour particularly on Sundays. You can do Macau day tour independently coz Macau is so small. You may get a travel brochure of Macau at HK airport or ferry terminal and you can go to any of those beautiful sites mentioned there. Just take ur pick in any of those sites u fancy.
Happy traveling!

HI! Teresa:
Have some tips of my Macau page. Welcome you to take a look and see if they are useful. Macau is pretty compact so it's easy to get around. Turbojet operates daily but it is by no means the only way to get to HKG via the sea. There is another ferry service as well....

I'm planning to spend my day in MAcao from 10am and leaving by 10pm. Is it too long? Because when we arrive there, we'll have lunch, then spend all the afternoon sightseeing, then dinner, then at night, take pictures of the casinos etc. Also, does anyone know any place where we can have massage? Just in case my mom and I got really tired, we need somewhere to relax.
