We will be traveling to Essaouira soon. Would appreciate help with the following.

What is the correct prononciation of Essaouira.
Is it a walkable distance from the Supratours stop to the Hotel Des Iles with a small case.
Any general advice much appreciated

Before I went I'm sure I read that the correct pronunciation was something like Ess-a-weera. In Morocco, however, people seemed to say something like Ess-a-wehra. They always understood us though.

The whole town seems to be walkable with the Supratours stop being not far from either the centre or the beach. It isn't hot so carrying a small case wouldn't be a problem. Quite unlike Marrakesh, where the station requires a taxi ride and therefore numerous opportunities to be ripped off!

Do buy your ticket for the bus as soon as you can as we found our first two choices weren't available despite asking the day before travel.

To get from the Supratours bus stop walk along the path through the gardens with the town walls to your right, when you reach the main road with the sea ahead of you Hotel Des Iles is to your left, about a 3 minutes walk.
Do you know where the Supratours bus station is in Marrakesh? It's not at the main bus station but by the railway station.
