| Fiuggi | Public Transportation from Rome Airport to Fiuggi Posted: Mon July 16, 2007 03:53 PM UTC
I will be in the Rome airport in September and want to go (cheapest way) to Fiuggi. Is there a bus or train that I can take to Fiuggi? or maybe both? I was told to take a taxi, but was also told that the cost would be about 100 euros. Seems like too much to me. I'm sure there something better. Thanks for your help R.

Hi,
Yes, there is of course a cheaper way... First Leonardo Express from the Airport to Roma Termini (every 30 mins) Then Regional train from Roma Termini to Anagni (+/- every hour) From Anagni to Fiuggi there are buses connecting with the trains. Let me know when you arrive exactly if you want an exacte schedule. Bart W

Yep, Bart's right. Note that the Leonardo Express is priced like a 1st class train, so the ticket is 11 euro each. Most of the trains that go from Termini to Anagni-Fiuggi are regional trains (cheap), so the total fare will usually be 14.60 euro one way (including the 11 euro for the Leonardo Express). However, there is also the occasional ICPlus train from Termini to Anagni-Fiuggi, and the total fare for this solution would be 18.00 euro. Given the relatively small difference in travel times (some of the all regional train solutions are just as fast), I would say to just take the next solution, whatever it is...note that if the solution with an ICPlus is what you choose, that reservations are required (which you can get at FCO if seats are available, as they probably will be).
NOTE: our answers both assume that you are arriving at Fiumicino Airport. If you are arriving at Ciampino, then please tell us... Bill
