Will be arriving Clark next month for 3d2n and later before next flight to Taipei. With limited time that I will have for shopping and tourist spots, can someone suggest a plan for me for shopping malls, markets and visit famous tourist spots in 3days? Tks

Clark airport is 2.5 hours away from Manila - Ortigas Mega Mall (+ the time needed to reach your hotel). If you stay in Angeles City (where Clark is located), there is nothing more than night bars and girls' shows. Given that you have only 3d/2n, your options can be:
1. Manila (for shopping and sight-seeing)
2. Subic area (for beach vacations)
3. Banaue - Sagada (for mountain tourist spots)

New mall right at the Clark airfield main gate. With the new mall at your back the main strip of bars is just past the fence. If you can see the huge ABC Hotel - that is the main strip!

If you decide to stay at Angeles - party all night, go on a couple tours during the day time. Shop when time allows! Other than the mall and a few other stores, there doesn't seem to be many shopping choices!

There are a few travel agencies that can arrange tours for you.

Thanks for the info, I think i will opt to spend my days in the metro for Shopping. For sight seeing, what are the not to be missed tourist places within Manila? I heard there is a place with many old church and buildings, worth to visit. Is there any Chinatown in Manila?

I think you are talking about Intramuros, the old Spanish walled city. This is the most interesting place to go around, either by yourself or following a guided tour. Another interesting spot is the National Museum, not far from Intramuros. Yes, there is a Chinatown for shopping or just for looking around. A good option is to visit also Tiendesitas market (Ortigas extension corner C5 hiway), with many antique shops.

Dear StefanosS, that was really useful info for us! do u think we can get a chinese-speaking tour-guide upon our arrival there? tiendesitas market sound interesting to us (my parent likes antique buildings very much). another question, which hotel do u think is best for us to stay in? We need a place right in the city, with Markets around and easy to get Public transport. Perfer about PHP1500-3000. Appreciate yr efforts in answering this :)

Metro Manila is huge and distances are very long. There are many choices about hotel, but I propose Great Eastern Hotel in Makati. Some of our friends have stayed there. You can check the site:
http://www.greateasternhotelmanila.com
Rates are lower than in other hotels of the same level. There are more hotels and many restaurants around. Closest market is The Power Plant Mall (at Rockwell Center) and you are not very far from Greenbelt and Glorietta for shopping and evening leisure (although you need a taxi). LRT (metro train) can take you to Ortigas center where there are many more Malls (EDSA Central, Starmall, Shangri-La Plaza, SM Megamall) and from there you can reach Tiendesitas by taxi.
I am sure you can find a guided tour in Chinese, most travel agencies are owned by Chinese.
