The tour we are looking at taking includes a 5 night cruise on the ship named the Monaco. It looks nice on line but I would like to hear from those who are familiar with it or even better if you stayed on it.

Hi chris i cant help you with the manaco but i did a 9 day nile cruise in february and nearly all the boats were identical.I was on the Viking 2 and it was classed as a 3 star,food was very good but drinks are extra,careful you pay at the end and it can add up.You can probably upgrade to another ship if your not happy as a family did this on our trip as they thought the rooms were to small.Silly really as if you want to spend all your time in the room your missing egypt as you sail by.I thought the rooms were fine.when you moor up you will have a number of boats to pass through to get to the shore side,youll pass through there lobbies or reception area,with this in mind others will also pass via your boat so keep you valuables in the safe behind reception.you will generally have early starts to get the sights in before it gets hot.take water with you wherever you go and small change for tipping the toilets.email me and ill add anything else i can think of.
