1+1 It would have to be fixed wing because helicopter would be too expensive for
us. Christine

Katherine Gorge is mainly helicopter. But Katherine Aviation (www.katherineaviation.com.au/) will do a 40 minute flight over the gorge, Edith Falls and Mt Todd for $175 each for 2 people, $150 each for 3 people.

Kakadu Air (www.kakaduair.com.au/fixed.html) is the main one in Kakadu. They have 2 flights, one 30 mins ($120 per person), the other one hour ($195 per person) minimum passengers 4. They will squeeze others in with you. The short flight does Jabiru, along the East Alligator River/Arnhem Land, and the flood plains. The longer one does that plus heads a bit further to the west towards the South Alligator River.

If you contact them you can work out exact dates, etc., and how you divide up the numbers. Both those companies usually do charter flights so they'd probably be able to take you to both places, for a price. Flying time between Jabiru and Nitmiluk would be over an hour, I didn't check for charter rates.
