We are planning to arrive in Bari via train and would like to rent a car. Does anyone know if there are nearby car rentals? For example, Avis' website lists the following locations in Bari, and I'm not sure if any are near the train station: Bari Amendola, or Via L Zuppetta, or Via Cardinale A. Ciasca. Or is it easier to go from the train to the airport and pick up a car there?

I don't know about the other two addresses, but Via Luigi Zuppetta is just next to the main station in Bari. You can see for yourself by going to www.viamichelin.com , choosing Maps, and entering this street name (along with Bari and Italy, of course).
You will notice that the advantage of the airport office is that they are normally open much longer hours...so make sure the office in town is open when you need it... Bill
