| Doha | transit in doha Posted: Thu July 12, 2007 12:28 PM UTC
I'm flying from Paris to Kuala Lumpur and i will be having a 8 hrs transit in Doha.
May I know if they have a tourism information centre in the airport? How long does it take to go on taxi to the Central post office from the airport? Is the national museum within walking distance from the airport? How long do i need to wait to get a visa at the airport? Is it convenient and safe to wander around alone without speaking any arabic? Thank you very much in advance. |

There is no TIC in the airport.
There is a post office just outside the airport, but Posta office have certain working hours. So, you might arrive and they are closed. You need a taxi to get to the Musem, however, the museum is closed for maintaenace. there are other museumes but little bet far. Certain nationalities can get visa on the spot and does cost about $50. It is safe to wonder around but take Karwa taxi not people outside who are not local (expatriates).
