Hello,
We are leaving for Taormina next week. You told the beach near Isola Bella isn't your favorite. Which one would be suitable with two children? Thank you in advance, Best regards, Veronica |

Know the area well. Been travelling in Sicily for 30 years.
Isola Bella is a very commercial beach with sunshades and loungers in regimented lines. The other major beach is Lido Mazzaro. More or less the same thing(or at least it was, the last time we were there). The beaches below Taormina town are laval(ok but no sand castles). If you have a rental car, suggest you drive 15 minutes south to Giardini Naxos. Much nicer(public)beaches which the kids will probably find more fun. There are still the usual Italian regimented sunshades and loungers, but the beach areas are much bigger with less people.
