Pauline - you have given us very few clues about the kind of things you would have liked to have chosen had all your friends been 18+. That is presumably the problem - only you will be legally able to drink.
And we don't even know where you live.

You could choose to go to the very, very best restaurant in town and have a gourmet meal - ok - alcohol free but I guess if you arranged and paid beforehand you could all be served a glass of champagne to toast your birthday.
A real growing up, coming of age.

A fun night in a bowling alley (or skating rink), fish and chips on the way home.

A night at the theatre followed by a post-theatre supper in a local restaurant or a party for your special friends at home - with parents permission of course.

If you live in a town with a canal or river, a dinner cruise could be fun
and different.

Go camping in a local beauty spot - taking all your own refreshments..

These are just a few ideas for you to think around and build your own special celebration.

The reply concerning drinking under age in a restaurant is incorrect. Young people aged 16 or 17 can drink beer, wine or cider with a meal if it is bought by an adult and they are accompanied by an adult. It is illegal for this age group to drink spirits in pubs even with a meal.
In this case you can order wine or beer to be drunk by your friends as long as they have a meal. The law is a little vague however on what constitutes a meal. For example, a toasted ham sandwich is not a meal, but does serving it with french fries make it a meal?
If you book the table for you and your friends, they will be classed as being accompanied by an adult so will be allowed to drink alcohol. So why not go for a game of bowling, or similar, followed by a restaurant?

You posted this on a travel forum, so I'm wondering if you are thinking of a short trip with your friends to celebrate your birthday? If so, what are your interests and where might you want to go?

I think the question was aimed specifically at those who know Liverpool and therefore might know of a good night out for under 18's in the Liverpool area; ergo, it is a travel question, I think :)
