Hi
Can anyone help me with locating a bus or train service to Hat Yai from Penang. Would like to travel this coming Saturday and return on Monday. I read about minivans going there, heard its a little on the cramp side with 10 people in the van. Can anyone who has tried the minivan share their experience? Thanks much. |

Avoid train travelling in the Southern part of Thailand. These couple of years, there are a lot terrorism going on...and trains are one of their targets. So my suggestion is only take a "tourist bus", you can buy a ticket from Chaw Wang Hotel (Opposite Moh Ka Suay), it costs around 200 Baht and takes 4-5 hours. For a little more luxuriuos option, contact Lucky Tour, the ticket is something around 350 Baht.
