Thanks in advance to any and all who can help. In a few months, a friend and I will be going to Arenal via San Jose. We are flying into Santamaria (SJO), and are going to take a flight on Nature Air to Arenal. Nature Air flies out of Tobias Bolanos Airport. This is my question (I have tried Google but keep getting different answers): Does anyone in this forum have real time experience with how long it takes to get from SJO to Tobias Bolanos? Google says the airports are about 10 miles apart, and gives answers ranging from a travel time of 20 minutes to an hour. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as well as some advice on the quickest way to get from SJO to Tobias; i.e.; taxi, etc. Thanks again.

The Tobias Bolanos Airport is only 20 minutes away from SJO airport. The main problem you can find is the traffic so, my advice is to catch an orange cab or a private shuttle (same rate) from the airport to takes you to Tobias Bolanos. You may contact poasrentacar.com they offer this private shuttles, and the best is that the driver will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate so, you wont waste time trying to find some to drive you.
