Redang shouldn't be a problem.. i haven't heard of any rumours here about safety in Redang.. if u travel in group should be ok.. i went to Perhentian alone and didn't have any problem.. i dont promise anything as it could be happend in anywhere in the world.. but normally in a small tiny island with no road at all should be safe.. Redang is not a big area..
just be alert :)

I was there last June with my family. It was very safe for the kids, therefore I assume it would be for girls too. During the days it would be fine walking alone. The snorkelling trips are done in groups so no worries. Just be careful at nite. If u want to stroll the beach or go to other resorts, do find a company to go with u. It's fund at nite since some of the resorts offer disco type of entertainment. Just don't drink too much or else it would be hard to wake up for the next morning trip. ;)
