Stuttgart Short stopover in Stuttgart
Posted: Mon July 9, 2007 10:46 AM UTC
I'll be in Stuttgart for two hours in August. Instead of just sitting at the station for two hours, I'm thinking of taking a stroll into town. Can anyone tell me how long (more or less) it would take to walk the following route:

From Hauptbanhof down Koningstrasse to Schlobplatz,
then from Schlobplatz to Marktplatz via Schillerplatz,
then into Muntzstr back to Schlobplatz,
then from Schlobplatz into the park area with the Art Gallery,
and then past the pond/lake into Puttitzweg and back to Hauptbanhof

I'll be in Stuttgart on a Sunday (after 11:00).

Many thanks.

hi there,

it will be no problem to stroll along here in about little more than one hour. It is a nice walk and perhaps there will be time to have a cafe (at the Art galerie for ex). If You still have a few minutes, take the free lift to the top of the station tower. There You have a nice view around downtown Stuttgart. You will find it, when coming from the trains, at the very left side of the mainhall.
have fun
