Is there a train station in the city? I would like to be able to visit Trier and will not have access to a car during the day

Spangdahlem is a small village without train station.
DB timetable http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en From: Spangdahlem Tor To: Trier There are direct buses from Spangdahlem Tor (= Gate) to Trier. And connections where you have to change to a train. You can try also other bus stops in Spangdahlem, as there are more frequent buses from there. But don't know which is the next close one. Spangdahlem to Trier is VRT price level 7. Single ticket will be EUR 6,35. A day ticket EUR 12,50. A mini group (2-5 persons) day ticket EUR 17,20. Latter will be on weekdays however only valid past 9am. These are zone-to-zone tickets. It plays no role if you use the bus only or a combination of bus and train. You can also use the city buses in Trier with the VRT tickets.
