Hi!
Yes it`s cartanly cheaper, around 20 euro for return ticket but it can be a snail pace. Bus is not expensive at all, maybe 30 euro both way. Think about that! Have a great time! Jelena

thanks. Coming from Romania does anybody know if the train Bucharest-Beograd arrives on time usualy? I see that I can catch a train to Bar in 50 minutes so I don't want to miss it. Also do I have time to buy a return ticket to Bar and find the train in Beograd station? Can I pay in Euros for the ticket or do I have to change for Dinnars?
About the buses? Do you have any prices for a two-way ticket Beograd-Dubrovnik? That is my destination. Thanks for any advices

You`ll have the time to manage everything, the station in Belgrade is not that huge and trains should be on time.
When you get here, there are numerous exchange offices with same rates, so you can safety change your money everywhere.

I found a direct connection two way trip to Dubrovnik on http://www.globtour.com/ for about 53 euros. Any opinions for a cheaper one? If not can anyone tell me if I have to make a reservation for that route? being only one bus per day and we will be 8 people.

I doubt that you can do it cheaper than 53 euros from Beograd to Dubrovnik. There are no train to Dubrovnik from Beograd according Die Bahn’s and International Train Planner’s websites.
International Train Planner’s website http://plannerint.b-rail.be/ Here is the map of railways in Montenegro: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railways_of_Montenegro Jesper

Yeah...53 euros sounds reasonable.
Maybe it`s better if you change the train in Podgorica. I think you need to take a bus from Bar. Don`t get confused if you stop somewhere on the way, mind you`re in Montenegro. :)

I'm gonna choose the direct bus to Dubrovnik. Now I have to make somehow a reservation so we are not left out when we get to Belgrade.
Thanks for all the help.

I want to take this rail journey in August. I'm coming from Bucharest. Please could someone advise me where should I break my journey between Belgrade and Bar? Somewhere in the mountains naturally.
