Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Belgrade bars/restaurants in Belgrade?
Posted: Sat July 7, 2007 02:44 PM UTC
Hey
I'm coming over to Exit with a few mates this week and have a few days in Beograd 1st.
Does anyone have any recommendations of cool bars/restaurants etc in the city..
Would appreciate to hear of any local favourites that we would be unlikely to find without a tip off?!

Thanks

Try starting at the Three Carrots Irish Pub, Kneza Milosa 16.

Their web site seems to be down, telephone number is 011 268 3748

It would be a good place to start for a Londoner! The beer and the food are fine. If you chat with the other regulars there you will find the best places to go.

However the parties in Novi Sad have already started and while it is always good to see as much as you can when you travel I suggest that you get to the Beach Party as soon as you can!

By the way - the buses between Belgrade and Novi Sad are better than the train and don't worry to much about having one more beer than you need - Serbian people love to drink and be sociable!

And I haven't met a Serbian yet that drinks less than me! I really have to pace myself when I drink there!

Will you be going to EXIT this year?

It will be my fifth time :-)

We were there in Jan/Feb to celebrate our first anniversary. Not many people could join us in England for our wedding, just one friend and our kumavi :-)

Both parties were great - but the Serbian party was the greatest!

The Irish Bar is not the best Serbian Bar to visit but it isn't an Irish Bar either!

But it is probably the best place for an English guy to find out what is happening and where to go!

Hey Nev,

To best answer you question which kinds of music do you want to listen to and what kind of bars/restaurants do you prefer...Belgrade caters for every taste so it should be no problem to direct you somewhere you'll enjoy!

Hey Adam
When I'm away somewhere I am usually looking for a mix.
Fairly traditional and local - to see what local life is like, see what local people living there would do.

Then also some cool bars, quite laidback as opposed to completely rammed..
Musicwise - I like allsorts if I was out more house/funkier side of things.

thanks
