My wife and I will be flying into Rijeka and then hiring a car to drive down to Banja Luka.
Can anybody please suggest a route that will get us there quickly? As much as I would like to take my time and see the sights we are on a tight schedule. How long will the journey take? Many thanks, Ken |

Route suggested by ViaMichelin.com is probably not the shortest one but avoids local roads and is therefore the fastest:
From Rijeka take the A6 motorway to Zagreb, then A3 motorway (direction Slavonski Brod). Take the exit at Okucani, go to Stara Gradiska border crossing and continue to Banja Luka. Unless you plan to travel on one of "crazy weekends" on Croatian motorways you should be there in less than 4 hours.
