Tel Aviv-Yafo Tel Aviv safe?

Hi, I am due to attend a wedding in Tel Aviv end of July, and I am a bit worried about traveling to the area due to the reports in the news.
I would be grateful on any opinion on whether I should make the trip or not.
Thanks,
Deinna

What reports in the news? I know of nothing in particular happening in Tel Aviv. The only thing dangerous in the city are its drivers.

The resport you see in the news are about Gaza, which is about 150 km south of Tel-Aviv. There is nothing specail going around in Tel-Aviv or any other place in Israel.

Tel Aviv is quite safe. I have been there twice in the last two years. All of Israel is very safe for travellers.

Security is better than most places in the world. Enjoy the wedding, Tel Aviv, and Israel.

Media Hype aside, most parts of Israel are very safe for travelers. As for Tel-Aviv, yes, very safe. My daughter (almost 18) travels there often with her friends for clubbing, shopping and the beach.

There are no news stories about Tel aviv or israel that i am aware of, besides the usual gaza news which does not impact Israel at all as far as traveling around. Tel aviv is a nice city near the sea, beautiful beaches, interesting restaurants, nice streets to walk around and just explore. Israel is very safe, you cannot allow the news media to make you fearful from traveling.
