Hi, I am trying to figure out how to get from faro to gibralta...is there a train? Bus? How long does it usally take? Thank you

I take it you're not talking about Gibraltar the island just to save confusion! Try Portugese railways

I assume you mean Gibraltar, the British Colony on the Southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula.

Essentially there are two ways:

1) Bus from Faro to La Línea de la Concepción via Seville

2) Drive.

Rail does not really work as there are no rail links from the Algarve to Andalucia.
